Affordable Telemedicine for an Underserved Market

BT was asked by WoundRounds to develop the web and native mobile applications needed to support a telemedicine platform that would allow wound care specialists to round on wound care patients in remote and rural areas daily, even though the doctors would visit in person every one or two weeks.

Breakthrough extended their .NET application, and built out a world-class web application that allowed for the integration of photographs and collaboration between wound care nurse specialists using the devices each day and the doctors supervising their work and recommending treatments.

This resulted in a significant drop in readmissions to hospitals, which is a very big deal for long-term care facilities.
